Employee Referral Bonus

Employee referral bonus ($5,000.00/$10,000.00/$15,000.00): We currently offer employee referral bonuses of $5,000.00 for administrative positions, $10,000.00 for paralegal positions, and $15,000.00 for attorney positions, for positions that work at least 25 - 30 hours per week (or in the case of contract attorneys and contract paralegals, complete at least 60 - 80 billable hours per month).

If you refer a qualified candidate for an open position and we hire them (or work with a contract attorney or contract paralegal), then we will pay you 50% once they have been working for us for a minimum of three continuous months based on their regular schedule, and the remaining 50% once they have been working for us for a minimum of six continuous months (including the first three months) based on their regular schedule.

Verification of referral required: Please be sure to e-mail our firm at office@coastlandlaw.com let us know whom you referred (first and last names) within one week (seven calendar days) of the referral and before we hire the qualified candidate, and also make sure they know to tell us you specifically referred them (including your first and last names); in order to for you to claim the referral bonus, we do need to reasonably verify in our sole discretion that you sent the qualified candidate and will not pay the referral bonus if we cannot reasonably verify in our sole discretion the identity of the referral source; the qualified candidate we hire must directly confirm that you referred them.

The qualified candidate must give us permission to be able to verify details with you necessary for you to claim the referral bonus. The referral bonus expires three months after they have been working for us full time for a minimum of six months full time; we reserve the right to determine the form of payment and its delivery in our sole discretion.

You understand and agree that you are not authorized to verify confidential details of employment without express permission of our firm and an employee whom we hire.

One referral bonus per hired candidate: If more than one person referred the qualified candidate and we can reasonably confirm this in our sole discretion as outlined above, we will pay the referral bonus to whomever referred them first; if we cannot reasonably determine in our sole discretion who out of two or more people first referred the qualified candidate, we reserve the right to pro rate the referral bonus.

Only one total referral bonus will be paid per qualified candidate whom we hire. We reserve sole discretion whether to in fact hire the qualified candidate or determine all other aspects of their employment. A referral bonus may not be claimed by a candidate who refers themself (i.e., who reaches out directly, and whom the firm hires).

Recruiters are not eligible for this bonus.
